In force since 12 August 2026 · no small-seller exemption
EU packaging rules now want you registered — and usually paying a representative — in every country you post to. Frontdoor buys each order from you and sells it on, so we are the producer under those rules, and you are not.
Free to join. Nothing owed until you ship something. How it works
Title to the goods passes through us, so the registering, reporting and paying land on us. The parcel never changes hands.
What changed
Registration is required in every member state you sell into, with no minimum size or turnover. The going rate to register and be represented is about €299 per country, per year. Most small sellers have simply switched the EU off.
How it works
You do not re-platform, re-list, or move your stock. Someone buys from your shop exactly as they do today — same listing, same checkout, same price. We buy that order from you and resell it to them; you post it as normal. Because we are the one placing the packaging on the market, we register, report and pay — in every country.
Twenty-seven registers a seller can be asked to join. Under this structure, every one of them is our problem, not yours. We register wherever the parcels of the sellers on this list actually go.
What it costs
A per-country fee charges a seller with four parcels the same as one with four hundred. That is the thing that broke, so we do not copy it.

4% + €1–4
per order, and nothing else

Doing it yourself · for comparison
~€299
per country, per year, every year
Ten countries at that rate is €2,990 a year, every year.
€299 is the lowest openly published rate we can find for registration and representation, read from the provider's own site on 12 August 2026. Some ask a good deal more.
Where this stands
You are being pitched a lot of confident answers this month. This is where ours stands.
Experimental · in the works
Frontdoor is experimental and still in the works. We are assessing the market and deciding which country opens first — the waiting list is what decides it.
Not for everyone
We will not take every seller. The first intake is small and chosen, and some shops will not be a fit. Join the list and we will tell you honestly whether yours is.

Your email and where you sell to are all I need — the rest is up to you. Nothing here commits you to anything.
I'll write when there is something real to say — starting with which country opens first. If you asked a question, you'll get a reply from me directly.
